Spaghetti And Meatballs With A Home Made Tomato Pasta Sauce
I thought that I'd start off with a throwback from a couple nights ago.
Definitely one of my best pasta sauces!

Serves 4
Ingredients
- Spaghetti (about 400g uncooked)
- 500g Mince
- 1/2 Onion
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Ground Coriander
- 2 tsp Ground Cumin
- 2 tsp Mixed Herbs
- Salt And Pepper
- Oil For Frying
- 1/2 Onion
- 2 Tins Chopped And Peeled Tomatoes
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Ground Coriander
- 2 tsp Mixed Herbs
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 50ml Red Wine (optional)
- Salt And Pepper To Taste
- 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
- Finely chop the onion for the sauce.
- In a saucepan fry the onion, salt, paprika, and coriander in the oil.
- Add the tomatoes, wine, herbs, sugar, salt, and pepper and simmer until reduced to desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Chop the onion for the meatballs.
- Combine all the ingredients for the meatballs well.
- Divide the mixture and roll into roughly golf ball sized balls.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden all around.
- Once they are golden and holding together well, add them to the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve with cooked spaghetti.
- Garnish with fresh basil (optional)
